Alsace winegrower Gites – stay in one of two winegrower’s apartmenst at Domaine Waegell in Nothalten (67 Bas-Rhin, Grand Est), where owners Gérard and Nathalie will be pleased to welcome you.

Domaine Waegell

Apartments Domaine Waegell are located in the winemaker’s house in the village but have a separate private entrance. Situated midway between Colmar and Strasbourg this is a perfect base for exploring the vineyards, countryside and villages of Alsace – or popping across the Rhine to the Black Forest! Nothalten is home to the Grand Cru Muenchberg wines. Both gites can accommodate up to 4 people. Gîtes Chez Le Vigneron at Domaine Waegell offers comfortable and well-equipped en-suite accommodation with kitchen and garden space.

Wines here are typically Alsatian – mainly dry white (Riesling, Gewuztraminer), some sweeter late harvest whites, rosé and sparkling (Crémant d’Alsace) and a little red Pinot Noir.

Alsace is situated in North East France. It is bordered by the Vosges mountains to the west and to the East by the river Rhine which is the border with Germany.
