Chateau de Parnac
Booking.com

In the wine village of Parnac (46 Lot, Occitanie) close to the river (Lot) the Delmas family produce award-winning Cahors wines and offer a superb Bed & Breakfast (B&B) at Chateau de Parnac with three double bedrooms and a family room sleeping up to 4 people. Rooms are plainly but comfortably furnished.

Pont Valentré

Parnac lies 11 miles/17 km west of the town of Cahors which is situated within a loop of the river, crossed by the medieval Valentré Bridge (Pont Valentré ). The town is well worth a visit with its narrow medieval streets, restaurants and market.

Chateau de Parnac wine

The Chateau is family owned in the Cahors appellation – and has been producing mainly rich red Malbec wines since 1925. Cahors was the original home of the Malbec grape before the South Americas discovered it.The family also own the nearby Château Prieuré la Condamine. Guests at Chateau de Parnac can visit the winecellar and vault and have tastings of the family’s wines. Parnac is a major centre of Cahors wine production and includes several major wine chateaux and the biggest wine co-operative cellars in the appellation.

Cahors is one of our favourite parts of France – good wine and food in deepest France without the crowds who head for the Dordogne a little further north.
