Chateau Pomys – Saint-Estèphe Chateau Hotel

A Medoc hotel, close to the Gironde Estuary in the much-respected Bordeaux appellation of Saint-Estèphe (33 Gironde, Nouvelle Aquitaine)is a hotel/restaurant in a wine Chateau:

Chateau PomysAt Chateau Pomys the well-appointed bedrooms are spacious and offer a view of the park or vineyard. In the tasting cellar and restaurant you can enjoy the wines of the Chateau along with excellent gourmet cuisine and/or visit the facilities and participate in free wine-tasting.
Classified “Crus bourgeois supérieur” in 1932 and able to keep this demanding distinction in 2003, these two names embody greatness, and not by any matter of chance: traditional vine work performed in modern premises allows to preserve the characteristics of an exceptional land.

This magnificent residence of the 18th century was formerly home to the local lord. Its location benefits from a geographical privilege close to the beaches bordering the Atlantic coast and the seductive city of Bordeaux.

Our peaceful wooded park is ideal for a walk. By bicycle, the Saint-Estèphe vineyards bordering the estuary of Gironde offer a lovely view.

The wines are aged in barrels made of the finest oak and kept in perfectly adapted cellars. They deliver delicate and subtle aromas where the tannins and red berries finely mingle with grilled and spicy touches, depending on the vintage.
The wines are regularly acknowledged in specialised publications such as Revue du Vin de France, Gault Millau, Gilbert § Gaillard, Millésimes.
