.Built in 1824, the Medoc Villa at Château Malescasse is situated in wooded grounds of more than 6000m2, and in the heart of 100 acres of vines.
The magnificent neoclassical Chartreuse (the term for typical Medoc chateaux) of the 19th century has been fully renovated, and recovered its past architecture and former glory – Chateau Malescasse
Beside the Château, 40 ha of vines, the cellar and the tasting room have been restored and modernised.
For a minimum of 2 nights, and a maximum of 8 people, the entire Château can be reserved.
The Chateau has fine reception rooms which have been renovated and decorated in a contemporary style, yet in the heart of the vineyard. This villa provides 4 double rooms with bathroom and shower. The top floor of the property is air-conditioned.
There is an outdoor pool and a shared lounge area.
Located in Lamarque (33 Gironde, Nouvelle Aquitaine) near the shores of the Gironde estuary,
Malescasse is based in a triangle of land between Saint-Julien, Margaux et Moulis. It is a perfect place to discover the Medoc region and to enjoy some of the finest wines in the world. Its proximity with the port of Lamarque visitors can cross the estuary to Blaye, and also follow the Route des Chateaux de Medoc, to visit nearby wine estates as part of a historical and wine tourism tour. A guided tour of the vines and cellar is included, as well as free tasting of the family (Vignobles Austruy) wines.
The Chateau is one of only 14 Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel chateaux, using Merlot, Cabernet-Sauvignon,and Petit Verdot.grapes. Situated between Margaux and Saint-Julien, it is renowned for the quality of its wines and its superb terroir. Here, on the fine rolling gravel hillsides of the Médoc which give the great wines of Bordeaux their unique identity, Merlots and Cabernets live together in harmony.
