In northern Burgundy, just south of Auxerre<\/strong>  (89 Yonne. BFC<\/span><\/em>) and within easy reach of the vineyards of both Chablis<\/strong> and Irancy<\/strong> is the Domaine Borgnat<\/a> <\/strong>which offers guest house and self-catering (g\u00eete) accommodation at their domain at Escolives<\/strong>, all within the walls of an 18th Century fortified vineyard!
\nThe Domaine Borgnat offers daily wine-tasting sessions and guided tours of the 17th-century cellars and the domain. The guest house is developed in an authentic winery farm from 17th century. Old stones, timbered, great roof in small tiles… very pleasant architecture.<\/p>\n\n\n

This may not be the most fashionable part of Burgundy, but this lends the domaine and the people great authenticity . The accommodation is comfortable and the surrounding countryside is delightful – In a small village with easy access to the Autoroute<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Domaine Borgnat – Bourgogne-Coulanges<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Here they produce red and ros\u00e9 wines from the Pinot Noir grape, the essential red grape of Burgundy – and dry white wines from Chardonnay – all under the appellation Bourgogne-Coulanges<\/strong>. There is also a sparkling Cr\u00e9mant de Bourgogne. Wines are organic, with production methods respecting the environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
