There is a small amount of red made from Pinot Noir; some sweeter dessert wines from late-harvested grapes (vendanges tardives<\/em>) and some decent sparkling Cr\u00e9mant d\u2019Alsace. The still wines are in german style fluted bottles often with Germanic-looking script on the labels, reflecting the region’s turbulent past.
