An 18th-century wine-making ch\u00e2teau, Chateau Ormes de Pez <\/strong><\/a>is just 2km\/1 mile from the centre of the wine village of Saint-Est\u00e8phe<\/strong> (33 Gironde, Nouvelle Aquitaine<\/span><\/em>) in the M\u00e9doc. Ch\u00e2teau Ormes de Pez offers five elegant and comfortable bedrooms, each with their own bathroom and breathtaking views across the domaine or the vineyards.\u00a0 Ormes <\/em>are Elm trees! Wine tours and restaurant bookings can be made from the Chateau.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Saint Est\u00e8phe<\/strong> is the northernmost major wine area in the M\u00e9doc, bordering Pauillac and close to Chateau Lafite Rothschild. The wines from Ormes de Pez are powerful yet characterised by their harmonious structure. They are indulgent, pleasurable and combine a smooth, fleshy texture with the distinctive elegance of a Saint-Est\u00e8phe.<\/em> Made using the traditional grape varieties, these wines are rich, full-bodied and generous. They are made of predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon<\/strong> and complemented by a significant amount of Merlot <\/strong>for a combination of longevity and smoothness. The resulting wines are rich and fruity with a tannic undertone. They are seductive in their youth and develop their finesse after a few years of bottle age<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
