In the heart of Provence, the Luberon outcrop, was famously captured by Peter Mayle  with his bouk A Year in Provence<\/em> <\/a>(1989).. It is an area of spectacular scenery, vineyards and lavender, Dotted with hill-top villages, markets and nature’s bounty (think Olives, Melons. Truffles, Tomatoes, Rosemary …. all under the provencal sun celebrated by the likes of Cezanne and van Gogh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here in the Luberon Village of Cucuron <\/strong>(84 Vaucluse, PACA<\/span><\/em>) is the vineyard B&B at Chateau La Sable<\/a><\/strong>. The en-suite acccommodation enjoys air-conditioning and there is a terrace and outdoor pool for guests. The chateaua is in a beautiful setting in the midst of vineyards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This family-owned Provence chateau produces 2 ros\u00e9s, 2 whites and a red wine in the AOP<\/span> Luberon. The ros\u00e9 wine is made from  Grenache (40%), Syrah (40%), Rolle (10%), Clairette (10%)<\/em>;the red wine is made from Syrah 55%, Grenache 35%, Carignan 10%<\/em>.Although the domaine has a long history, it is only in recent years that the current owners <\/strong>Virginie et Jean-Marc have been re-planting and updating the facilities in preparation for conversion to organic (bio) status.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
