Alsace is famous for its dry white wines, mainly single-variety wines from Riesling and Gewurztraminer and Pinot Blanc. Some superb late-harvest dessert wines and superb sparkling Crémants d’Alsace. A small amount of red is also produced from Pinot Noir.
