Auberge La Coste, Provence wine Hotel

Auberge de la Coste

Auberge de la Coste is a fabulous Provence wine hotel in Le Puy-Sainte-Réparade.

Château la Coste is an estate with 300 acres of vines, with some stunning architect-designed buildings for the hotel, a villa and wine-making facilities, and five restaurants! The estate is just 20 minutes from Aix-en-Provence (13 Bouches -du-Rhône, PACA)

The vineyard is owned by Patrick McKillen, an Irish art collector who has converted it into a centre dedicated to “Wine, Art & Architecture”. McKillen invited Tadao Andō to design an art centre in which to exhibit modern art, while Jean Nouvel conceived the winery. He also offered a choice of sites to artists for their outdoor sculptures

A superb coming together of art, architecture, wine and gastronomy in a perfect Provencal landscape- stunning modern architecture, art exhibitions, winery, 5 top class restaurants and` great holiday accommodation! – free WiFi Free wifi throughout the property and a bar.

In 2009, Château La Coste’s wines were given the “Organic Farming” label, a label which acknowledges a profound respect for the land and farming methods which are in perfect harmony with nature. This philosophy is also exemplified by the biodynamic principles followed to create lively wines with all the minerality of the soil. The alchemy of blending different grape varieties takes place in the wine cellar , designed by the French architect Jean Nouvel, in a vat room which preserves the wines’ naturalness. To better understand the production process, you should  visit the wine cellar.
