Chateau La France, Bed and Breakfast

Chateau La France is a restored chateau located in Beychac-et-Caillau (33 Gironde, Nouvelle Aquitaine) in the middle of vineyards and is one of the largest estates in the Bordeaux region, boasting 90 hectares (222 acres) in a single block. Owned by the Mottet family who also own Château de Seguin.

The Chateau offers Bed and Breakfast (B&B) with free WiFi, some rooms with a sauna and a hot tub, and guests can request to visit the estate and its cellars. Each bedroom is uniquely decorated and has a terrace, a TV with satellite and cable channels, air conditioning and tea/coffee making facilities. They also come with a private bathroom including a shower, a hairdryer and bathrobes. You can enjoy garden view from the bedrooms. Rooms sleep up to 5 people in double and twin rooms and a suite.

The Wines

The wines are classified AOC Bordeaux Supérieur rouge (red) and  AOC Bordeaux Blanc Sec (dry white). The reds are made with 86% Merlot 12% Cabernet Sauvignon and 1% Malbec and Cabernet Franc.

Traditional methods are combined with the most up-to-date techniques both in the vineyard and in the cellars, in order to express the very best of the “terroir”.
