Angela and Gavin Quinney run a respected Bordeaux Vineyard and Chateau at Crêon (33 Gironde, Nouvelle Aquitaine) to the South East of Bordeaux with a farmhouse (gite) available to rent at Chateau Bauduc
The charming farmhouse is in the heart of the Bordeaux vineyard at Château Bauduc. Superbly situated for touring the Bordeaux region, and just thirty minutes from the airport, this 18th century stone house sleeps eight people comfortably.
There is a lovely south facing garden, a delightful outdoor eating area under a vine-covered trellis, and guests have the use of their own heated swimming pool. No expense has been spared in making this a really comfortable base for a family holiday or for small groups who wish to relax and enjoy life.
The house, which is rented out on a weekly basis during the summer or for shorter breaks from October to May, overlooks the vineyards and backs on to the farm buildings and cellars where the wine is made and aged.
Bordeaux Supérieur – Red, pink and white, they are utterly drinkable, each possessing a classic, mouthwatering Bordeaux texture and easy going fruit. You can purchase the Chateau’s wine for UK delivery
Oz Clarke’s Bordeaux
Since the first vintage in 2000 the Quinneys have made Bauduc into a very smart operation, selling direct to consumers through mail order and the internet.
The vineyard gains regular listings with such star chefs as Gordon Ramsay and Rick Stein. The wine deserves it.
