The Château Borgeat de Lagrange is the home of the Bourgeat family who manage a wide range of local vineyards in the Bordeaux region (Maison Borgeat). Each wine from the Maison Borgeat range is carefully produced in a traditional way. Château Borgeat de Lagrange is a neo-Gothic castle of exceptional beauty built in 1856.

The Chateau is family owned in the Blaye Côtes de Bordeaux appellation. This is a red made from a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Mourvedre. Typically strong and fruity for a young wine, with musk and spice notes developing with age.The family also produce wines from the Medoc, Haut Medoc, Bordeaux Superieur and the Côtes de Duras appellations. Dry and sweeter whites wines also available. Guests may have the opportunity to have a tutored tasting of their wines at the Chateau,

Blaye is on on the Gironde river north of Bordeaux. There is an impressive UNESCO listed Citadelle/castle overlooking the river. A ferry (pedestrians and vehicles) can get you across to the vineyards of the Medoc, whilst the city of Bordeaux lies 55km/35 miles to the south (vineyards all the way), and Cognac (Brandy and Pineau des Charentes) is just 80km/59 miles north.
