A Loire chateau hotel in Vouvray (37 Indre-et-Loire, Centre-Val-de-Loire): Chateau de Jallanges
Amongst the chateaux of the Loire, between Tours and Amboise, this historical monument was built in 1465 by Louis XI. Now privately owned and beautifully furnished, the Chateau is surrounded by a wood and old cedar trees with a Renaissance-style French garden and a chapel. There is a terrace and a bar. All of the guest rooms are heated and offer a view of the gardens, feature a minibar and private bathroom. Some rooms feature an antique four-poster bed. There is an indoor swimming pool. The hotel does not have a vineyard but the area is home to 160 wine producers.
