At Lugon-et-Ile-de-Carney (33 Gironde, Nouvelle Aquitaine) the family-owned Château de la Vieille Chapelle offers 5 B&B bedrooms in a 12th Century Roman chapel’s outbuildings on the vineyard along the Dordogne river.
The Chateau offers a garden and terrace with a direct view of the Dordogne river. Free wine tasting of selected wines from the estate is offered every evening from 18:30. More wine tasting activities are also possible in Saint-Emilion, a 30-minute drive.
The comfortable en-suite bedrooms all offer views of the garden and/or river/ By choice no TV is provided by Free internet acccess throughout

The Chateau is family owned iand produces Bordeaux-Superiere wines – reds, whites and rosés using mainly Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Sémillon grapes – all harvested by hand.- The estate’s wines are certified organic since 2013 and environmentally friendly awareness is evident in everything on the estate and in the Chateau.
