Between the Burgundy wine villages of Auxey-Duresses and Mersault (21 Cote d’Or, BFC) the Chateau de Melin produces fine burgundy wines and offers a classy Bed & Breakfast:
The Chateau is set in its own gardens, with a river and dates back to the 16th century. The decor is traditional French style.
Individually decorated, all rooms at Chateau de Melin feature garden views and a seating area. Some rooms include a canopy bed and sloping ceilings. All have en suite bathrooms.
A continental breakfast is provided. The château also features a wine cellar. The bed and breakfast is just 200 yards from the winery.
in 1999 the property was acquired by its present owners, Hélène and Arnaud Derats, who undertook the complete restoration of the Château.

The Derats family also acquired the winery, which includes 22 hectares of vineyards located in the Côtes de Beaune and Côtes de Nuit regions. The Chateau produces a range of white and red Burgundies from some of the top appellations including Chassagne Montrachet, Maranges 1er Cru,Pommard, Gevrey Chambertin and Chambolle Musigny.
