Lussac-Saint-Emilion is a red wine appellation, the most northerly of the four “Saint-Emilion satellites” clustered just north of Saint-Emilion on the ‘right bank’. Here wines have a typical blend of 80 % Merlot, 10 % Cabernet Franc and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon.”Very inviting bouquet, marked by the freshness of red berries with hints of raspberries. Scents of dark chocolate and fresh bread. On the palate the wine is juicy and fruity. The tannins are well integrated. Refreshing and juicy finish.” They also make a dry white (Bordeaux Blanc) from 90% Sauvignon blanc, 7% Sémillon, 3% Muscadelle. The Chateau also produces a small amount of Chardonnay white wine (classified as Vin de France) unusual for this area!
