Pecharmant is a small appellation on the northern edge of Bergerac producing serious, mainly red wines from Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Malbec grapes and aged in oak. These wines are similar in style to Bordeaux wines with a fruitier character, and show more finesse than many of the local Bergerac reds.
