Uninterrupted wine making since 1740! In August 2018, Brit Chris Walker and Irma Lazickiene purchased Chateau Masburel with the aim of bringing it back to life. New equipment is being installed, vineyards are being restored and the aim is to bring new life into the chateau through its wines, tourism and events.
In addition to deluxe en-suite double bedrooms on a Bed & Breakfast basis the chateau also offers a 2-bedroom self-catering cottage with kitchen . All accommodation offers free wifi
Here the wines are whites and reds in the appellations Cotes de Bergerac and Montravel. (The Montravel Appellation is situated between St Emilion to the West and Bergerac to the East.) Montravel does enjoy a reputation for the highest quality wines, based on Bordeaux-style grape varieties.
