At Prehy (89 Yonne, BFC) Clotilde Davenne is a winemaker who offers a Chablis Guest House on the vineyard Domaine des Temps Perdus (translates as Domaine of Times Past).
In the middle of the rolling vineyard landscape of northern Burgundy, yet just 4 miles/ 8 km from the pretty wine village of Chablis and just 2 hours from Paris down the autoroute.
There is a twin bedroom and a self-contained apartment with ensuite facilities and access to the garden surrrounded by vineyards. A coffee machine is provided for guests.
Every day a winetasting is available to try Chablis, Irancy and Saint-Bris wines from the Domaine. This is northern Burgundy, so the dominant white grape is Chardonnay, but the terroir yields a drier and more minerally wine than the wines from further south in Burgundy. Chablis is always a white wine, but reds and rose wines can be made either as Irancy or Bourgogne Cotes d’Auxerre.
