Jurançon
Jurançon wines are always white, but care needs to be taken that you get the right style – Jurançon (sweet) or Jurançon Sec (dry). Jurançon is produced with a blend of traditional varieties of grapes:
Gros manseng : grape variety used for dry and younger sweet Jurançon wines. Tart and strong, it represents 70% of the blend
Petit Manseng : the grape variety which produces the greatest sweet wines. It is high in sugar .
The courbus, camaralets and lauzets : typical Pyrénées grape varieties. They offer spicy flavours to the wine.

Monein is 12 miles/ 18 km west of Pau. Lourdes lies about 48km/ 30 miles east. The vineyards of Madiran and Cotes de Saint Mont are about 72 km/46 miles to the north.
