The bastide, ( a fortified house) is also the home to a vineyard – the Domaine de Marie. The vineyard and hotel opened in 2000 and offers an ideal combination on boutique hotel, vineyard and restaurant.
The hotel is surrounded by 15 hectares of vineyards and has a rustic and luxurious feel, the individually decorated rooms have air-conditioning and free Wi-Fi is available throughout.

Here the wines are typically Provencal – e.g. red AOP Luberon made from Grenache and Syrah grapes, often with some Carignan or Mourvedre. Not classic wines but excellent with the warm provencal climate and food.
Mènerbes is about 30 miles southeast of Avignon.
