A Medoc B&B at Pauillac (33 Gironde, Nouvelle Aqutaine) which as its name suggest is at the heart of the vines – Le Coeur des Vignes
The house offers five guest rooms, each individually decorated and with private bathroom and WC. Guests are welcomed in the dining room where breakfasts and evening table d’hôtes meals are served. Oysters and cheeses can be supplied to order. Heated outdoor swimming pool.
Pauillac is arguably one of the best Bordeaux appellations with its three premiers grands crus classés. The best chateaux in Pauillac are probably Château Lafite, Château Latour and Château Mouton-Rothschild.
Pauillac wines generally full-bodied, and can be tannic and acidic when young. With ageing they can acquire an opulent bouquet with aromas of blackcurrant and cedar.
Although no wine is produced here, the property is surrounded by vines and vineyard views including those of Château Pichon Longueville Baron.
Some Grands Crus Classés can be served by the glass at Le Coeur des Vignes and wine tastings at local chateaux can be booked.
