Alsace wine bottle

The wines of Alsace are predominantly white, dry and elegant and are identified by the grapes variety – Riesling, Gewurztraminer and Pinot Blanc. There is a small amount of red made from Pinot Noir; some sweeter dessert wines from late-harvested grapes (vendanges tardives) and some decent sparkling Crémant d’Alsace. The still wines are in german style fluted bottles often with Germanic-looking script on the labels, reflecting the regions turbulent past. The style of the wines and the winemakers is decidedly French!

Beblenheim is only 20 minutes from Colmar and close to many of the best Alsace wine villages, such as Riquewihr and Ribeauvillé.
