Ancestral home of the Dukes of Brissac since 1502, the  B&B Chateau de Brissac at Brissac (49 Maine-et-Loire, Pays de Loire) has a lot to offer in terms of exclusive overnight accommodation. Each of its historical bedrooms has been lavishly decorated with period furniture and boasts a peaceful view on to the gardens, adorned with flowers, lakes and meadows. It is also the tallest Chateau in France!
Open May – September.With garden views, all suites feature antique-style furniture and a private bathroom with bath. Some include a four-poster bed and a seating area.

A continental breakfast can be enjoyed every morning at this Loire Chateau B&B. Restaurants and cafés can be found within half a kilometre.

Savour the atmosphere and the peaceful rhythm of chateau life within the ancient walls. Kings and Queens of France sejourned here and well-known celebrities from the international world of politics, entertainment and music have paid a visit and signed the Guest Book. Here the wines are red and rosé Anjou wines from the Cabernet Franc grape – the star wine being an Anjou-Villages-Brissac red – typically described as a full-bodied red wine with dark garnet red colour and dark berry/licorice  flavours.

The picturesque village of Brissac is a sheer delight to the eye and taste. Stroll down its charming lanes and you will discover various quaint little cafés, typical French bakery shops and a delightful local market with its local products.
You will be in the heart of the Loire Valley wine region, where  you can discover  Angers and Saumur and superb chateaux such as  Serrant, Villandry, Azay-le-Rideau…
