Chateau de Peyrel wine

Chateau de Peyrel

The Chateau produces Rosette AOP and Bergerac AOP wines. Rosette is a small appellation (just 15 or so winemakers) making sweet white wines from Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon and Muscadelle grapes – the same blend that goes to make Sauternes wines closer to the Atlantic coast, The Sauvignon Gris grape is also allowed, and the result is a lighter and fresher style of wine than its more famous near-neighbour. Dry white, red and rosé wines are also produced, classified as Bergerac AOP.
