Chateau d'Arche wine

Chateau d’Arche

Sauternes is one of the most highly prized dessert wines made from Muscadelle, Sauvignon Blanc and
Sémillon grapes in the Graves region, southeast of Bordeaux. These wines are special, getting their sweetness from “noble rot” (botrytis), which occurs with the autumn mists and late summer heat.Located 40km south of the city of Bordeaux, the Chateau d’Arche vineyard is close to the Garonne and the Ciron rivers. From the end of the summer the meeting of the cold waters of the Ciron and the warmer waters of the Garonne generates a morning fog providing optimal humidity. The dry weather in the afternoon dries out the grapes and concentrates the aromas. The small team produces the Chateau d’Arche Grand Cru Classé
