Château de Buffavent is a family-run wine growing estate in Denicé, (69 Rhône, ARA) in the South of Beaujolais, the heart of the “Golden Stone” area, near Lyon and Mâcon,

The owners are passionate wine growers who offer a calm location away from the modern world. You can visit the vaultedcellar, and discover the range of locally produced Beaujolais wines: red, white and rosé, as well as a sparkling “Cremant de Bourgogne”,.

The Southern Beaujolais is a lively and luminous region,dotted with ochre-yellow stone built villages, such as Oingt (one of the “Most Beautiful Villages in France” ) Theizé, Bagnols, Ternand.

The three B&B rooms are situated in the east wing of the Château, on the first floor. They all have en suite bathrooms and an internet wifi connectionFree wifi . All rooms feature a seating area, a wardrobe, wooden flooring and tea and coffee making facilities. A continental breakfast serving homemade products is provided each morning,

Château de Buffavent, is a family-run wine estate in Beaujolais.You can visit the beamed cellar, and discover the range of locally produced Beaujolais wines :red (Gamay), white (Chardonnay) and rosé (Pinot Noir), as well as a sparkling “Cremant de Bourgogne”The 22 acres of the estate’s vineyards, mainly Gamay Noir and some Chardonnay, were planted 35 to 70 years ago on beautiful sun-drenched slopes.The particularity of this “Golden Stone” terrain is its composition: clay and limestone soil with veins of granite rock. These have a great influence on the vines and give a distinct character to each vintage.
