Wine stocked in the UK by Gauntleys of Nottingham:
Owned and run by the Brotons family, this ancient estate, which traces its roots way back to the middle ages, is one of the northernmost in the Cotes de Provence region. Working completely organically and with a very minimal interventionist approach to winemaking, nature is truly allowed to take its course here. The long hang time and rich clay and limestone subsoils help produce wines which are undeniably Provencal, yet remarkably elegant. Powerful in their profile, yet all the range is wonderfully rounded, elegant, fresh and mineral.
This authentic vineyard, calm and peaceful, epitomizes Provence’s culture and landscape. Built in a green valley, it faces an ancient line of cypress and vines. In a convivial and relaxing atmosphere, you can enjoy the Provence way of life and you discover a place where the time goes slowly!
The Clos de l’Ours is situated close to the village of Cotignac between the Gorges du Verdon and the Côte d’Azur.
