The Château, a wedding gift from Monsieur Petit Laroche to his wife, is a fine example of the eclectic architecture that flourished in the Médoc at the end of the 19th century.
The Dourthe family has owned the estate since 1929. Dourthe is a big name in the Bordeaux wine business. There is also a wine museum at the Chateau.
